bike mechanic, beekeeper, and gardener. For almost a decade Chris was an engineer in the field of cellular telecoms, specialising in radio network architecture and off-grid power. Following this career Chris took an MSc in Earth System Science, a PhD in glaciology and after a stint working on weather radar R&D is now a climate scientist focusing on regional climate modelling.
Chris is a climate scientist, chartered engineer, Chris used to be an editor at The Oil Drum, was a co-organiser of the Global Energy Systems Conference 2013, supports, as a trustee, the work of the Centre for Sustainable Energy, occasionally speaks on energy security and climate change and used to compete triathlon and ultrarunning events.
